Google home connect to Nest

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if I could get some help here... I've been trying to connect my Google home devices to the Google nest but just can't figure it out apparently; because whenever I go to enable it on my amazon alexa it says that it can't find a device to link to Amazon. What am I missing here??

Specifically what devices are you trying to connect? Speaker? Display? Thermostat? etc

Are they already setup in the Google Home app? 

Or, are you trying to control a Nest product using Amazon Alexa?
