Google home minibwon’t turn tv on

Sorry it looks like that device hasn’t been setup yet. You can do that in assistance settings! Is what I’m getting for a reply when I ask my Google home mini to turn the smart tv on. How do I get it setup.   ?

@MikeDane21, Thanks for reaching out. I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should; let me help you. Does your TV have a built-in Chromecast or a plugged-in Chromecast? If it’s plugged in, what type of Chromecast is it? Is it set up in your Google Home app? If so, are you able to control your TV using the Google Home app?
