When I ask my Google Nest "get spooky" or "make the house haunted", it usually plays a spooky music and flickers the smart lights into different colors.
Since last week it stopped doing it. It only plays the music. But no longer change light colors as it used to.
All the other functions work perfectly and I can change light colors and intensity by simply asking Google to do so.

Hey I remember this. There was also the “I feel like a fish in the ocean”
I freaking loved these. What happened to them? And is there an up to date list with available commands?

Hi folks,
That certainly hasn't been easy for you ― when did this issue start? It would seem that your Google Home/Nest speaker is working fine since it played music when the routine was triggered, just so happened that the lights didn’t receive the command. What speakers and lights do you have there?
Let’s go ahead and reboot all your speakers, lights and router/modem. Restarting your phone also helps.
Check out this guide: Create and manage Routines in the Google Home app, Schedule and control multiple lights with Routines.
Keep me posted.
Best,
Dan

@Dan_A Hi!
nope that won’t help, as I’ve in an entirely different household right now, and I have multiple lights from different brands, some are diy even (led strips). I remember noticing that it wasn’t working anymore maybe 5 months ago? I sent feedback but I never hear anything from it.
I have Yeelight Wi-Fi bulbs, lidl zigbee bulbs, led strips running wled.
I remember testing the “I feel like a fish in the ocean” months ago on the led strip and it was AMAZING, it really left a lasting impression on me.
is there a way to check the logs when I issue the command? I’d be more than willing to do some testing with you guys if it helps.

Hi folks,
@laurent79, what Google Home/Nest speakers do you have? Also, since there are a lot of smart lights, it would be best to have an expert on the other line guiding you about your smart lights. You might need to unlink and relink your lights to its native app, afterwards, signing it back into your Google Home app.
@PedroLiberal, same as above. Are you able to relink your lights from its native app and back to your Google Home app? Are your Google Home/Nest speakers working? What speakers do you have?
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Dan

Something came to mind… my Yeelights were initially linked to the Yeelight app.
And at one point i tested the strip light as well, so I’m starting to think that maybe I got it wrong. Maybe the lights stopped working when I set them up through openHAB. Humm.
@Dan_A ill take longer but let me reset the light, sync them with Yeelight and test it, and afterwards I’ll link it back to openHAB. This could be a limitation from the openHAB integration side.
On another note. If I’m going to create a request for the guys working on the openHAB side, I’ll have to provide more details. These “lighting scenes” from google, is there any documentation for them?? A list with all of the possible commands and how they work?

Hey PedroLiberal,
Thank you for the information you provided and we'll be waiting.
About the list for the possible commands you requested, check out this link. You can search on all the devices that are compatible with Google. Just search for the device that you want information with.
Keep me posted.
Thanks,
Dan

Quick note @Dan_A , that link only has commands that come from yeelight.
The light scenes that I’m talking about are not from Yeelight, but google’s.
So they won’t show up in yeelight. Can you please check google docs for “I feel like a fish in the ocean” and “get spooky”?
more information link below. Notice that the information comes from google.

Thanks for the reply.
I installed about 90(smart) lights in a large home, I have 8 different nests in different rooms.
The effect worked perfectly for a full year in all the rooms separately when ever asked for.
I have been trying to make it work for the past 3 weeks and nothing apart from the music playing .
I'll restart them all. See what give.

Hey there,
Upon checking, saying to your device “Okay Google, Let’s get spooky”, will trigger Assistant to say “Okay, let the haunting begin” and play a mix of spooky sounds. If you ask your Nest Hub the same thing, you’ll get a bunch of recommended actions like “Scare Me”, in which Google will say ‘don’t look behind you, and more. These are just seasonal commands which may or may not work during or after that specific season.
Other scenes that you asked for depend on the manufacturer of the smart bulb. Google Home only triggers the command. I suggest you contact the manufacturer for more information about its functions.
Best,
Dan
