Home automation schedule starter only uses the first two schedule triggers

Recently I have acquired lightbulbs that connect to the google home app. I have created an automation that acts as an alarm for me using these lightbulbs. Last night I created a new schedule trigger to wake me up for work. The trigger did not work and after playing around with the schedule triggers I have I realized that it was only using the first starters in the list. I have attached a google drive folder with screenshots of this. You can see in one of the photos that the third trigger is to run the automation everyday at 7:50. However the second screenshot does not show any of the daily actions in the upcoming automations. The only thing that does show is the second reoccurring trigger in the list(the Wednesday at 5:50 trigger). The first trigger in the list is a one time trigger for earlier this day. If I change that to a one time trigger for tomorrow it will show in the upcoming automations list along with the second list in the trigger. I can’t get it to use all three triggers and the trigger that is not included in the upcoming automations list is always the third in the list no matter how I arrange them. What is happening?

I would separate those automations into 3 different automations until we exit Early Access of this version of Google Home. If it had the copy feature like the old version has then this would be a simple process for you.

  • You can still use the old version of Google Home automations in Assistant Settings > Routines.

Sounds like Google Home is just struggling with multiple time triggers in one automation. A lot of people run into this—anything beyond the first couple triggers often doesn’t fire reliably. Splitting the times into separate automations is usually the only consistent fix.
