I'm having the SAME issue with my TCL Google TV.  I spent an hour on the phone with tech support, and not even a hard reset would resolve the issue. My 1 year warranty expired like 3 weeks before the problem occurred.

If the TV has a Google operating system I may be able to help. This same issue happened to me after I got stuck in our kids profile and couldn't get out of it. I tried calling TCL support and they couldn't help either. What I ended up doing was signing into your google profile on your phone or computer and accessing the family link section where you manage your families linked accounts. Adjust your kids birthday so that they turn 13 tomorrow. Once they turn 13, you are able to remove parental controls from their account. This didn't update on my TV until later in the evening, but it kicked me out of the kids account since they are no longer under parental controls, and prompted me to login to my account. I believe this will delete the kids account, but it was a much better alternative than my TV being locked into their profile.
