I say "OK Google" to my Android phone and a Google Nest on the other side of the house responds.

This is particularly problematic if I tell it to make a phone call.

How can I configure things so my phone does not propagate the command to other devices?

Hey Jeff6S,

If Google Assistant detects something that sounds similar to “Hey Google” or “OK Google,” it may accidentally activate your devices. To prevent your Google Nest speaker from responding, you can adjust its sensitivity. Here's how:

  1. Make sure the customer's mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Tap the device card of the preferred speaker or display.
  4. At the top right, tap Settings > Audio > “Hey Google” sensitivity.
  5. Use the slider to raise or lower the device's sensitivity to make it more or less responsive to "Hey Google".

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Alex
