Hey everyone,
I recently noticed that my Nest Audio speaker starts sounding a bit muffled or distorted when I raise the volume above 70%. At lower volumes, everything sounds fine, but once it gets louder, vocals lose clarity and the bass feels a bit muddy.
Is this a known issue or something fixable through settings or EQ tweaks?
I’ve already tried resetting the device and checking Wi-Fi no luck. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi joshwilly,
Thank you for posting in the community! I understand the concern that your Nest Audio speaker recently started sounding a bit muffled or distorted when you raise the volume above 70%. To find that the vocals lose clarity and that the bass feels a bit muddy at higher volume, despite resetting the device and checking Wi-Fi, is not something to be expected. I appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot.
Regarding your question, I'm glad to assist you in the search for a fix and a crisp sound.
Please try the following:
Adjust EQ Settings: In the Google Home app, tweak bass and treble levels to improve clarity.
Inspect for Physical Damage: Carefully check the speaker for any visible signs of impact or damage.
Test Different Audio Sources & Placement: Try various music services and experiment with the speaker's location to see if acoustics or source quality are contributing.
Confirm Software Updates: Ensure your Nest Audio is on the latest firmware (usually automatic).
Feel free to share the results with me; I’m here to assist you.
Regards,
Humberto
