I have two battery nest cams and I am starting to regret the purchase. It is very difficult to get them to charge with the pogo battery connection. I think part of it is the charging connections are not protected at all on the camera and living in costal Florida they get dirty / corrosion. Also not sure if the pogo charging cable is the issue (I have the cable in the right orientation by the way.
Sounds like I need a new cable, also Google should provide a rubber connector cap to protect the charging connector when the camera is used outdoors that can be removed for charging. Also would make sense to mechanically key the connector for the next version of this camera since a good design would not allow you to plug in backwards (although at least it is not harmful if you do).
