Hi,
Is the Nest Cam with Floodlights designed for the floodlights to be left on all the time, throughout the night?
I would like to replace an outdoor lamp in my driveway with a Nest Cam with Floodlight. My wife has a condition, that she would like the floodlight to be on throughout the night. I.e. continuously, not motion or visual signal activated.
Is the hardware expected to work well with such use?
Thank you,

Hi gwautom,
Thanks for reaching out. Good question! You can select what triggers your lights to turn on. Your options are Motion, Live viewing, or Camera events. The Motion setting will turn the lights on whenever the floodlight’s motion sensor detects activity. You can also adjust the motion sensitivity setting to determine when the floodlight will turn on. To find the right setting for your floodlight installation, when it's dark, choose a sensitivity setting then walk past your camera to see when the light turns on. Select a higher sensitivity so your floodlight will turn on when there’s activity further away, or a lower sensitivity for a shorter range.
Here’s how:
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
JT
