Nest Hub can't be found.

Hi!

I have the same error as mentioned here: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Can-t-fully-setup-Google-Home-Hub-Nest-.... However, my setup is a bit different.

I have recently changed my Internet provider, and they use a coaxial cable instead of a normal Ethernet connection. Therefore, I use their router (FAST3890V3, https://www.tele2.se/bredband/utrustning/wifi-hub-c2) in bridge mode and then connect my Google Wi-Fi router via Ethernet. As I understand it, this setup should automatically turn off AP isolation. UPnP is turned on in both routers. The Wi-Fi works perfectly, but when I try to add my Google Nest Hub (2nd gen), I get the following error message:

"Your Nest Hub was setup successfully but can't be found. Make sure your mobile device and Nest Hub are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Turn off AP isolation.

If AP isolation is enabled on your router, you will need to disable it."

I have tried everything mentioned in the post I linked, however, the following settings are not available in the bridged router:

  • Enable: multicast, Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP)
  • Disable: AP/client isolation, virtual private networks (VPNs), proxy servers, IGMP Proxy. VPNs and proxy servers should be disabled on your computer as well (if applicable).

I am unsure if these settings matter when the router is in bridge mode.

I have also tried resetting and factory resetting both routers and the Nest Hub, as well as following all the steps from this thread: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Your-Nest-Hub-was-setup-successfully-bu....

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks for the help.
