Spoken introduction before Action is activated on Google Nest Hub

Hi, when I for example use a day-routine some of my actions get an introduction like "Oke, we will start <<name action>>" And for some actions there is no annoucement. I prefer no annoucement. Those anybody knows how to manage this?

Looking forward to your reply!

Thanks! Jack

Hi JackVD,

When using routines you can also use the 'Say something' action and have the assistant say whatever you want. But you can not disable the assistant replies completely.

You can try lowering the speaker volume to zero as the first action in the routine.

Hi Cathal, thanks for your reply! I think im nit 100% clear.

When I start a conversational action 1) by saying: Oke Google, talk to <<action name>> or 2) on a certain time/day via a routine, sometimes Google Home mentioned the conversational action (like: “I will start <<actionname>>) and sometimes it doesn’t. It just start the action without any introduction. Which I prefer.

Do you know why there is a difference?

Hey JackVD,

Usually before the action is performed by your Google Nest Hub, it will first acknowledge the command. But it still depends on the action you've added. You can check this guide for more information.

By the way, thanks for helping Cathal_S!

Best,

Alex
