Use Mini for Falls or Help w/o listening

OldDragonLady01

I want to set up a mini to call for help upstairs if I fall or perhaps to see if my sister is home. She is uncomfortable with automation buy if I can make it so I can not nose in on their conversations but they can/can not hear me unless I need help I may be able to convince her to utilize the nest minis. When they need me they call down the steps but if I need them and can not climb the steps then it's 'oh well, too bad so sad'. This is how we are/speak, but lol doesn't signify our dry wisecracking rough lives.

I understand she can turn off the speaker but that is too inconvenient for her. Is there a privacy command I can set up for her mini and be able to call for help from my mini to 'hers'?

I am fairly sure you can set up a "broadcast" to your home with device in your room so that the minis in your home will be able to be speakers for you... not sure whether that solves your issue though

Hey folks,

Thanks for that recommendation, lunatechniq!

OldDragonLady01, check this guide to know more about Broadcast voice messages to Google Nest or Home devices. Additionally, you can also use the Duo calling feature of Nest devices. Here's the link for more information.

Hello OldDragonLady01,

It's me again. How's it going with your Google Nest Mini? Did the shared link above help?

Regards,

Alex
