I cannot cast from my laptop to my tv. Chromecast on TV, using Surface Pro that has casting capabilities. What am I missing? When I hit cast, my computer says no source found. Using same wi-fi for both
If you are casting your Chrome window to your Chromecast, you need to make sure you are on the same Wifi network. If Casting isnt working, reboot your router, your computer, AND your chromecast, and give it another shot.

Ensure that the browser you're using is Google Chrome and that it’s up-to-date.
Check that the Chromecast device is set up correctly.
Check if other devices can cast successfully (Example: phones, tablets, another computer).
Make sure the OS version of your laptop is updated and no pending updates.
Check the antivirus of the computer. There are cases (mostly in Windows) wherein the Chromecast device fails to work after the antivirus finishes an update. If this happens, call your antivirus provider.
