good morning routine suggestion

so i regularly use the good morning routine to get overnight updates and tech news. however on weekends or Mondays i just get repeats of what i have already heard over the last few days, either because there were no additional episodes etc. it would be smart if google were "smart" enough to note that i have already heard those particular shows/podcasts and either skip them or perhaps (gasp) be smart enough to discover similar shows for me to listen to (and perhaps lead to new show discoveries to subscribe to)
