Can I add my dog to familiar faces library?

I was just wondering if I could add my dog to my familiar faces library for notifications of when he's on the front porch in case one of the kids let's him out by mistake. Thank you!

You can't as that feature looks for human faces, not pets so there isn't a setting to manually add a pet.

What model of camera do you have? Do you have a Nest Aware subscription?

Thank you! I had a feeling I couldn't but just wanted to ask 🙂 I do have the Nest Aware subscription and the model of my two cameras is Nest Cam G3AL9

That's the Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery) model, which has an animal detection feature:
