Google migration error. Unexpected erro

SmoothHound1

Ok so I migrated my Nest account to Google. Paid a yearly subscription, I used to sign it with my yahoo email, that’s where everything is. Wasn’t a fan of Nest pushing my gmail account, however I now have an unexpected error when finishing my Nest migration and now I’m unable to sign into Nest even though it happily took my payment!

any help would be fab.

thanks

I can't tell whether your migration completed or not, or how you were able to purchase a Nest Aware subscription with your Google Account if your migration failed.

If you want to talk to Support, you can use the link and instructions in this post:

This is Google Nest's Help page on migration issues:

Hello everyone,

@SmoothHound1, thanks for reaching out to the Community. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the Nest account migration. Let’s check it out.

Have you had a chance to see MplsCustomer’s response above? If yes, how was it?

Also, you can verify if you've migrated in the Nest app Nest app:

  1. If you're asked to sign in, select Sign in with Nest enter the email and password associated with your Nest account.
    • If you're able to sign in with your Nest account, then your account hasn't been migrated.
  2. If you're unable to sign in with your Nest account, tap Sign in with Google.
    • If you can sign in with your Google Account, then your account has been migrated.
  3. If you're already signed in, tap Settings Nest settings icon.
    • If the "Migrate to a Google Account" option doesn't appear on the screen, then your account has been migrated.

Keep me posted.

I appreciate your help, MplsCustomer.

Best,

Lance
