Merge Nest Cam (battery) and 1st gen Nest Cam IQ Outdoor to Nest aware account

Hi,
I'm promted from Home app on my Nest Cam (battery) about configuring other Nest product. I'm promted from the Nest App to upgrade to new Nest Aware with my 1st Gen nest Cam IQ Outdoor.  I can't figure out how to merge my two cameras in either of the two apps. Any tips & tricks?

I can confirm that your Devices are tied to the account/email. Does not matter if they show in the Google Home app or the Nest app, they are still attached to the same account, same email. Nest Aware covers all of these cameras because you purchased the subscription on the same account/email. I hope that helps to confirm things for you.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.

Best Regards,

Brad.

Both of your cameras should be able to use your Nest Aware subscription, but in order to get 24/7 recording from the new Google Nest Camera Battery, you need to connect it with the optional power cable. Unfortunately, as we customers have been discovering, the new Google Nest Camera Battery can only be accessed from the Google Home app, while your Google Nest IQ Camera can still be accessed from the Google Nest app and from your computer's browser at home.nest.com (and you have SOME access to the Google Nest IQ Camera from the Google Home app).

You can see Google's perspective on this -- as well as customer reactions -- here:

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the follow up. I did the upgrade to Nest Aware subscription yesterday. Which covers  all cameras in the defined home. I can't tell in the app Home or Nest that it saves footage for both cameras.  The nest app only covers 1st gen but as previously mentioned both cameras appears in the Home app but no visible authentication that the upgrade now covers both cameras. Any inside to this?

For the new (fall 2021) Google Nest cameras that are only supported in the Google Home app, you can access history in the Google Home app by selecting the camera, then clicking on History, and then, if desired, Full History. For previous Google Nest cameras, their history can only be accessed in the Google Nest app (or at home.nest.com), by selecting the camera and scrolling through the history.
