Nest Aware Plus not working

I recently purchased two wired nest cameras and subscribed to nest aware plus. It is not recording any events or video and is not sending notifications. I can view live feed and I know there are events that should have been recorded and notifications sent. It recorded events and video and sent notifications the day I installed them and has not since then. I have spent multiple hours on the phone with Google and still no solution. I have had the cameras for 4 days.

When you talked to Google Nest Support, did they have you go to Settings | Video | Video history for your cameras in the Google Home app and verify that "60-day event and 10-day 24/7 video history" is checked?

I had to go in and re purchase the plan. The first couple of days are apparently lost. I was told I would be sent the recovered time period but the zip file I was sent has no video or audio just a bunch of encrypted files.
