Nest Smoke Alarm Alerts when away

Hey,

I can't seem to find the answer online. My free Nest Aware subscription has recently expired. During the subscription I received smoke warnings when I was away usually from housemates burning food. but since the free subscription expired I have not received alerts but also haven't burnt food that I know of.

My question is, do I need a Nest Aware subscription just to receive remote notifications? Can I get this without the subscription? I don't use any nest cameras. Thanks in advance 🙂

Thanks for reaching out. The Nest Aware is a paid subscription with added features only for your Nest Cameras, Nest Doorbells and Google Nest Hub Max. You get the same alerts and features on your Nest Protect with or without a Nest Aware subscription.
