Night Vision on plug in outside camera

Several months ago, night vision on one of my cameras went out.  In Nest Aware, I tried moving it from “auto” to “off”, unplugged the camera, cleaned the lens (which was not dirty) and “uninstalled” and re-installed” the camera.  Nothing works.   I reached out to Google and I already did what they recommended (which was what I explained above) and they will no longer respond to my requests for an answer.   Can this be fixed or is my night vision broke?  I have 2 other outside cameras that work fine, it’s just this one camera that won’t work.  Any suggestions?  I’m not good with technology but I can get help from a friend if you tell me exactly what to do and I’m sure he will help.

I’m sorry to hear about all the situations that you’ve been experiencing with your Nest camera and its night vision. I understand that the night vision randomly went out, and even after you have done some troubleshooting steps, it is still not activating. But no worries; I’m happy to help you find a solution.

In order to give you the correct troubleshooting steps, I have here some questions for you:

  • What is the model of your Nest Camera?
  • Does it work on the Google Home App or in the Nest App?
  • Have you suffered any power outages recently?
