migration from nest to google deleted videos need it back

I just migrated from Nest to Google and they deleted my Nest history!!! If I gave permission to do so, it was buried in multiple paragraphs of agreements and this is a big problem. I need access to the videos I saved on my Nest account.

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I'm terribly sorry to hear that you're having this issue, I understand how upsetting this could be, but I'm happy to assist you with this issue. I am afraid that once the footage is gone, it is gone. Have you tried to check the Google Home app to see if you have any video there?

It's not going well at all. The idea that nest/google would find it appropriate to delete all stored video is appalling. When getting a new camera, the process forces you to migrate systems. If this is needed, there should be a warning that fills your screen in big red letters saying "WARNING, DOING THIS WILL DELETE ALL YOUR SAVED VIDEOS." There is no such warning unless it is mixed with pages of other legal agreements which is impossible for anyone to actually read.

  • At the top right, tap your account.
  • Tap Feedback 

and then

  • tap the type of device you'd like to submit feedback for.
  • To display available emails, in the "From:" section, tap the arrow on the right. Select your email address.
  • In the feedback summary, write a brief description of your issue.
  • Be sure to check the box for Screenshot and System logs.
  • To submit feedback, at the top right corner, tap Send
