My husband added me as a family member to our new Nest Protect and they do not show up for me. I can see our doorbell and our Nest camera, previously installed. I do have two Google Accounts (one using a Gmail address and one using a Yahoo address…). My Yahoo address is the owner of the doorbell but I’ve been invited to the camera and six Protect alarms to both GoogleAccounts - yet they do not show up when I’m signed in with either one.

Nest protects don't show up in the google home app, they are still in the nest app for now. Can you log into the nest app and see your devices there?

Assuming you are using the HOME app. go to SETTINGS, and then PRESENCE SENSING. Look for the PROTECTS and you should see them available as motion sensors. That is all you are going to get with with the HOME app.

This is only applicable with wired units, not battery units

I dont know whats happened I have setup the nest 2nd gen before, but I changed carriers and got allocated a new home IP subnet. All of my nest devices needed to be reset via the QR code on the nest screen. This QR code does not take you to the setup but wants to install a third party app called watcguard and gives you about 10 pages of info to read on an Iphone. Something is wrong and a such I cant reinstall my nest device happy to look at the watch guard app but not during installation.
It is almost like the QR code google provides has been hacked - cant even install watchguard because I have domain resting under my userid and watchguard wont accept my id anyway.

Unknown if OP has battery or wired units. I have 8 wired units, and one battery unit. All 9 of them show up as potential Presence Sensors. Clearly the proper solution is to have them show up properly in the HOME app, but Google's lack of response to this long requested function makes it pretty clear to me that it is not going to happen.
