Nest Protect

I am having loads of trouble getting my 3 Nest Protect devices reconnected to my network.  Not sure if they are Gen 1 or Gen 2. I have a nest thermostat as well.  When I go through the setup in the app, it fails at the point where it shows the Thermostat trying to communicate with the Protect devices.  I have reset all 3 to factory defaults with no change.  I am using a Nest Router and Point for my wireless.  Have also went through the troubleshooting steps.  I keep getting a P16 error.

Very similar problem here since of today. I have 3 Nest Protect Gen 2 and a Thermostat Gen 3. Everything worked fine until I had to re-install one Protect. By now I have uninstalled all, reset all, created a new home, but I do not get beyond setting up one Protect. After that I get error codes P13, P18 and P24 for the second Protect install, a bit in a random matter. Wi-Fi network did not change, so I really do not know what else to try.
