Nest Protect

Hello,

Our Nest Protect beeps once every 60 seconds. It has new Energizer Lithium Batteries, and the blue light and voice do not happen when trying to reset. I also removed the device from our account but it won’t let me add it back due to a P023 error but our network is working just fine (we have 8 other protect devices connected).

Hi @croskopp,

I hope you are well, and I would like to thank you for posting on our community page. On the other hand, I apologize for the inconvenience that you are having with your Nest Protect. Let me tell you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to fix the problem.

Double-check battery installation:

  • Ensure the Energizer Lithium batteries (L91) are inserted correctly, with the positive and negative terminals aligned properly.
  • Try removing and reinserting the batteries to ensure a good connection.

Test with Different Batteries (Optional):

  • While you've mentioned using new batteries, if possible, try inserting a fresh pair of Energizer Lithium batteries (L91) to rule out any potential issues with the specific batteries you used.

Manual Reset with Button (if applicable):

  • Some Nest Protect models have a physical reset button. If yours does, consult the user manual for specific instructions on performing a manual reset using the button.

If those troubleshooting steps do not work, please feel free to fill out this link to contact our customer service support for further assistance.

Regards,

Mario.

Thanks for the response. I have already tried multiple sets of batteries, and they are inserted properly. I have 8 other Protects that work just fine.

As mentioned in my original comment, the manual reset doesn’t work.
