I don't know what generation of Nest we have....but I have a new wireless network and it was "inactive" on my iPhone. It said to remove it, but now it's wants the QR code. The smoke alarm is on the ceiling which is inaccessible since it's very high. How can I get the QR code? I have the box and serial number on the box...but that is it.
Thanks.

Hi, @ChristieProtect!
Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand how inconvenient it is to remove the Nest Protect from the ceiling. I understand that connecting your smoke alarms is essential to the security of your home. Help’s here!
To pair your Nest Protect, you'll need to either scan the QR code or enter the entry key. Both of these are located on the device itself. Since the Nest Protect is mounted on the ceiling, accessing this information can be tricky. In this case, you'll need to remove the Nest Protect from the ceiling to get the necessary information.
If you have the opportunity to remove the Nest Protect, I recommend taking a photo of the entry key and saving it in a safe place. The entry key is a 6-digit code located on the back of the device, next to the QR code. This will save you time in the future if you ever need to remove and re-add your Nest Protect to the app.
Please don't hesitate to reply if you have any further questions.
Best regards,
Ana
