It was 4:30am. I was sound asleep. Then the unit woke me up with a musical chime and it said "hi." There was no record of it in the app and I cannot figure out what's going on. I'm a light sleeper and do not want to be awakened again! Google searches have turned up nothing. Any ideas?
PS. I think it's generation 2 but not sure and the ceiling is ten feet high so I'm not going up there to check.

Hi btg,
I had this with one of my 6 Nest Protect devices.
And it repeated more and more frequently over time. I was able to capture a video, the sounds were not normal and also the ring was glowing abnormally.
After several attempts with Google Support, they came to the conclusion that the device is defective and needs to be replaced.
