I am seeing the same problem in 2 units out of the 6 I have. The batteries are draining VERY quickly (in around 2-4 weeks from brand new batteries being added). I am using the recommended brand of lithium batteries (surely that cannot turn years of usage into weeks? But still...) and yes, the batteries are installed correctly and brand new.
I have purchased a new unit and it is happening to that too, but the 3-4 other units I have in other rooms are fine.
I'd also welcome some advice. I assume they are just defective? But if so, 2/6 is a very poor ratio.

I have the same issue with several of my Nest Protects.
They vary in age (4-6 years).
I purchased the recommended Energizer Ultimate Lithium L91 batteries to replace the empty batteries.
3 weeks have passed and i had to replace the batteries AGAIN.
I bought a new batch of L91 batteries, 4 weeks passed and the batteries were emtpy again!
Any advice would be welcome!
