Had a (justified but harmless) smoke alarm, which we immediately turned off. Half an hour later, five of seven Nest Protects started beeping and said they needed new batteries immediately. (At no time before that had a yellow light on any of them.) The batteries have now been replaced (only with the specified batteries), a sound check has been carried out, the app says everything is OK - but the individual devices are still glowing yellow and saying that the batteries need to be replaced soon.
Any ideas? Do I have to reset them?

In the app, when you look under 'technical" for each of the individual units, what does it say for "battery life"? If you hold down the center NEST button for three seconds or so on each unit, it should give a network status, ending in a green circle, what does it give you? What color is the "nightly promise", green or yellow/orange? Are any of the units approaching "End of Life", again check under technical for each unit.

Thank you very much.
I just tested it again and looked at the statistics - and after four days of yellow/orange light, it has gone today and after pressing the "Center Nest button" the blue light came on and no longer yellow. The same is true in the Protect statistics. For several days it showed that the battery was low - now it shows it as "OK". So I don't know what changed its mind, but everything seems to be working again.
Thank you very much for your effort in answering me! 🙂
