Hi there,
I am an new owner of a Nest Protect Smokealarm.
The Nest Protect is Flahing white (not the LED ring but outside of it in one Point) about every minute or so.
This is very distracting at night when we try to fall asleep. (its not visible at Daylight).
Why is that?
Is there any way to stop this?
This is no problem in most rooms. But in our Bedroom it is!!!
It drives my wife nuts at night...
Sorry English is not my native language.
Greetings

Could it be the "Pathlight" setting?

Is your Nest Protect battery or wired AC power? By law all smoke detectors must have a status light to let you know they are powered. The wired AC version of Protect has a very small pinpoint green LED that is always ON if power is on. I do not own a battery version but I suspect it has a small pinpoint LED that flashes to let you know it is powered and operational. This has NOTHING to do with any of the circular colored lights on the Nest Protect and is independent of them. It can not be disabled or dimmed.

It is battery powered. Then it is probably that.
One would think that in 2022/3 a smoke alarm that is smart could notify me through the app, especially a smoke alarm that in the commercial mocks the blinking of not smart smokealarms
Thanks for the info.
