2 Thermostats / 2 Boilers mismatch?

Lyndwode

I have 2 adjoining AirBNBs with 2 separate Heating systems and 2 Nest Thermostats (3rd Gen with wired Heatlink).

I set up both Thermostats in the Nest App in separate “Homes”. So far so good.

When I first installed them, the boiler in the first flat did not appear to go on when I turned up the heat. After some playing around I decided to test the setup in the second flat, only to discover … the boiler was heating there. Even though the Nesr Thermostat in that flat was not set to heating mode.

So I think what happened was that somehow the Thermostat from the first apartment had connected wirelessly to the Nest Heatlink in the second apartment.

I reset both systems and reconfigured both while turning off the power to the other units respectively. This approach worked, or so I thought.

After a recent power outage, the guest in the first apartment is complaining that the temperature is too cold. And you guessed it right, the guest in the second apartment says it is too warm! His thermostat reads a tropical 26 C in the app! Even though it is set to Eco Mode…

I don’t know how to solve this reliably…

I think I may have found a possible solution here: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Thermostats/1-thermostat-controlling-multiple-heat-links...

However, I did do this initially when I set up the Thermostats, at least on one of them. Maybe it works again…
