Hello everyone, I have a separate thermostat for heat and one for AC.. I’m trying to get a new thermostat for the heat but I only have 2 wires coming out they were attached to Rh and W/B with a junction between Rh and Rc. I was wondering if the Nest thermostat is compatible with my wiring and if not what to do? Thanks in advance

Hi SamTheMan24,
Thanks for posting here in the community! I'm happy to assist you with the compatibility of Nest thermostat models with your two-wire heating system!
As you've indicated that you only have two wires, one for heating and one for power supply, a jumper wire between the RH and RC terminals is not required for Nest thermostats. For further information, please refer to this helpful article: Learn about thermostat jumper wires.
To determine if a Nest thermostat is compatible with a two-wire system, it depends on the specific model. If you choose the Nest Thermostat, you may need a C wire or a Nest Power Connector for compatibility. For the Nest Learning Thermostat, a wider range of systems is compatible. However, there are situations where the system might need a Nest Power Connector or a C wire to ensure consistent power delivery. For more information, please refer to this article: Learn about the common or C wire.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Jenniffer
