As expected, my 2nd gen Nest, that was already in the house we bought last year, no longer works with the app. I like being able to control the thermostat from the app, it needs replacing. Since I need to pay for a new device AND install (since wiring & electrical is outside my skill set) what alternatives to Nest are the best option?
Nothing is stopping Google from deciding not to support the current models software whenever they feel like it and I don’t want to go through this issue again so Nest is out.
