3 degree difference

Why can't you put it on heat/cool mode and have 1 temp so set it at 68 if it gets hotter then turn air on if it gets cooler turn the heat on why is there a 3 degrees difference. This needs to be fixed there should not be a 3 degrees difference even if you use the hold there is still a 3° difference between heating and cooling on the heating and cooling mode if I want my thermostat to be on 68 it should be if it gets hotter the air should kick on if it gets cooler that he should kick on but I want it on a certain number and it should stay there there should not be three degrees difference why did you guys do this what was the purpose. I would almost recommend the tstat to people but because of that I am unhappy with it

I get you want to save energy but you should the the consumers decide what they want to do so you should be able to turn it off that way if someone wants to have it a certain way they're able to instead of automatically forcing it on the consumers that it automatically has to be three degrees you give them the option to turn it off give him the option to do one degrees give him the option to do two degrees go up to five degrees if you want but give us the option

Hi

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear that your thermostat is showing you 3 degrees of difference. I'm happy to assist you right now.

To get a better understanding of the situation, please help me out by answering the following questions:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • When was the Nest thermostat installed?
  • When did the issue first occur?
  • Have you done some troubleshooting steps? If so, can you please list them?
  • Can you please send me a picture of the thermostat wiring?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Regards,

Gabriela

It's not a 3 degrees difference showing I am not worried about it. But I would like to know when you turn off the heat pump balance you can change the time the heat bank kick on right now I have it set to 30 minutes and you can change it up to 60 mins and so on is. There any way you guys can update the program so you can change it lower then 30mins reason being it's really cold out and I would like to tell my eat bank to kick on I. 10mins or 15 mins if the heat pump can reach the temperature at I set it too. Right now my heat pumps has to run for 30mins before the heat pack can kick in. So my heat pump system is working longer and harder then it has to

Hi ,

Thank you for your response. I'm sorry to hear the issue is still not resolved. I understand that you want an update to change it to lower than 30 mins for the Heat Pump Balance. At this moment, we just have the option to set the Heat Pump for 30 or 60 minutes. You can refer to this article to learn more about Heat Pump Balance
