3rd Gen Heat Link

Dk1
Community Member

Hi there, noticed no hot water today so checked my nest 3rd gen stat and it was dead. Checked the Heat Link and no lights, checked power supply to unit and its fine 230v.
Turned off power to Heat Link for 30secs but no luck.
Tried master reset but nothing.
Heat link is only 16 months old

Looking at the reviews this is a common issue, has anyone had any luck with this.

cheers

I have the same problem. The heat link is dead and that seems to be quite a common problem. Have no clue on how to get a replacement

Hi @Dk1 and @sun28oli . Thanks for reaching out to us here.

Let us check a few things:

  1. When was it installed?
  2. Was it installed by a Nest Pro or by a regular installer?
  3. Are you seeing any wiring report, message on the thermostat and/or the app?
  4. Have you had any recent power cuts in your area? If yes, has the power been restored?
  5. Have you recently had service or maintenance on your electrical, plumbing, or heating system?

If you have not already @sun28oli make sure to also try the steps @Dk1 mentioned. Check all breakers and switches to make sure power is ok. Power cycle the Heat Link by cutting the power to it for a few minutes and after turning it back on to see if it has any reaction.

Best regards,

AlexD

Hi @Dk1 and @sun28oli , I wanted to check in.

Do you still need assistance with your thermostats?

If so, make sure to let me know here.
