I have a new nest and it is installed.  I cannot figure out how to make it work manually with out the use of wifi.  Is this possible? I am not ready to move in yet and do not want to put wifi in yet, but I would like the unit to work as the weather is starting to get warm.

All you have to do is go to the thermostat, tap it wake it up, go MODE and set it to COOL, then set the desired temperature you desire.  Without the nest connecting to WiFi there is no way on earth you can remotely monitor or control the Nest Thermostat. If you absolutely want to manage the thermostat remotely, check for a neighbor that has WiFi and work out a deal to connect your nest to their WiFi. Now then, as long as your Nest account is registered to that Nest thermostat, you will be able to fully control it.

Thank you very much for helping out.  It's good to know you are out there to help since Nest has disappeared.
