I have had my 3rd gen self learning stat for three years. I have never altered the settings or made system alterations. All of a sudden two weeks ago I had a cold shower on the Monday morning. The hot water although on in the app just did not work. Heating is unaffected.
if I reset the heat link it will work again but I then had another cold shower the following Monday. I have contacted the google helpline who seem to go down the path of a heating system issue. This is not the case. Although I am new to Nest I have been in the gas industry for over forty years. There is no heating system issue. It must be software as it seems to be cutting out a certain day of the week.
I have gone into the app and clicked on the settings reset in the hot water section however the problem still happens. Google has recommended I by a new Nest but surely not if it’s there software. Would have to buy a new phone if they cocked up the software!!
any ideas folks?

Hi there @Stevewright666. I'm really sorry to hear about this, but I'll do my best to help. If you activate the Hot Water from the app, can you hear a clicking sound coming from the Heat Link?
