3rd generation Nest link dead

PvB

Hi, the link unit has stopped working with no lights on. I have tried resetting numerous times and still no lights. I have checked that power is going to the unit which it is. The nest unit seems to be fine although have to remove to charge as no power going from the link unit to the nest unit. This is bad timing with the upcoming holidays so hopefully someone can help? Thanks,

Hi @PvB!

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I am sorry to hear that your Nest thermostat 3rd generation link is dead, but no need to worry; help is here. We appreciate all of your previous troubleshooting efforts. To provide you with a more effective resolution, I need to know a few details about your thermostat.

  • What Nest thermostat model do you have? For your reference, you can check out this article on how to tell which Nest thermostat you have.
  • Does the thermostat display show any error codes or messages?
  • When did the issue first occur?
  • When was the thermostat installed?
  • What is the make and model of your HVAC equipment?
  • How long did you charge the thermostat with a USB cable?
  • Do you see a blinking LED light? If so, is it red or green?
  • Is your thermostat offline?

I'll be waiting for your response; any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Best regards,

Jeremy.
