You have your new Nest wired wrong.

Try this,

White - AUX to W2/AUX

Green - G to G

Orange - O/B to OB

Blue - C to C

Yellow - Y to Y1 <-Edited

Red - Rc to Rc (jumper to R not needed) <- Edited

Be sure to do a reset to factory defaults so you clear everything from the thermostat.

Hey folks,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts here in the community.

We always have one goal, to be as helpful as possible. We could try the wiring configurations suggested by Patrick_Caezza and let us know how it goes by replying to this thread. The red wire should be connected to Rc as it is the power source for your thermostat to share from the HVAC.

Thanks for your help, Patrick_Caezza.

Best regards,

Ryan

Yeah this worked this was the fix I appreciate your help.

Thank You

Hey Teo5,

That's great to hear! Let us know if you have any other questions, we're here to help.

Thanks,

This worked perfectly for us.  We were having the same problem - the A/C was blowing hot air.  Our old thermostat had the orange wire in W1 so that's where we put it.  When we moved it to O/B as suggested, cool air started blowing.  Thanks for the solution Patrick!

Mine has done the same thing brand new best thermostat. It won’t cool as soon as the old thermostat is put on it works. I believe the nest thermostat is the issue. Return it!!! Get your money back

I put my old one back on and everything works fine not sure what it is? I like the looks of the new one but if I can’t make it work I’ll have to make due with the old one.

It looks like a bunch of people are having this issue. No one seems to be providing a logical solution. Everyone the same thing the heat works but A/C doesn’t. I returned mine they are expensive and did not want to be stuck with it over the return period.

I love it when people like you start bad talking about the products, and they haven't a clue as to what they are doing.

No one’s bad talking the product. I love google products except this thermostat. I spent 250 on the thermostat and another 200 on technician just to have no solution other than the best thermostat doesn’t work. Again I’m just saying why are so many people having this issue
