Hi, for some reason Alexa, Google nest is not responding when I ask to turn it on or off now? also, is it possible to get nest account for more than one person , so the family can control their own app.

Seems like this question was deleted for some reason.

just to confirm, I can adjust the heat up or down, but the command to Alexa to turn heat off, or turn heating off is now bit supported through the Alexa device.

Hi Lister,

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that your Alexa or Google Nest integration is not responding when you ask to turn your devices on or off. Have you tried to troubleshoot it already? If not yet, kindly follow these:

  1. To ensure optimal connectivity, ensure your Alexa or Google Nest devices are properly connected to your Wi-Fi network and have a stable internet connection. Try restarting the devices or checking for any connectivity issues.
  2. Verify device names with Alexa or Google Nest to ensure they match your voice commands. Double-check device names in respective apps and ensure they match your voice commands.
  3. To identify potential issues, test voice commands with other devices connected to your Alexa or Google Nest account to determine if the issue is specific to specific devices or a broader issue.
  4. Ensure your Alexa or Google Nest devices and apps are updated to the latest firmware and software versions to prevent compatibility issues or unexpected behavior.

Also, the Nest Thermostat can be controlled by multiple users using their own Nest accounts. The Nest app allows for multi-user access, allowing family members to have individual control over the thermostat. Each user can access the app using their Nest account credentials, allowing them to customize the thermostat settings. Follow the steps in this Manage homes and products with the Nest app article to set up multi-user access in the Nest app.

Let us know how that works.

Best,

Zoe
