Amana S-series compatibility

nbeyer

I just had a new Amana HVAC installed with a terrible thermostat and was told I can use a Nest like I did before. Wanted to double-check this and looking for some assistance. I’m posting what the wiring on the thermostat looks like and details on the units as screenshots. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Wires are AUX, AUX C, DATA 1, DATA 2, C, A.

Here is equipment info from thermostat. I think the “media filter” is a Aprailaire humidifier.

Hi nbeyer,

Thanks for posting here in the Community forum and for showing interest in our Nest Thermostats. Non-standard labels of AUX, AUX C, DATA 1, DATA 2, C, and A means that your system is proprietary. Proprietary systems aren’t compatible with Google Nest Thermostats. However, some proprietary systems can be rewired by a pro installer to be compatible.

We're here if you have any other questions.

Best,

Zoe
