BOILER KEEPS RUNNING, TIMER NOT WORKING

Hi Everyone

I have just moved into a new house with a nest thermostat installed which is all very new to me. The problems seem to be many to me but I am a bit lost with it all. Firstly when I set a temperature on the thermostat manually it doesn't stop at that temperature I set and just keeps climbing above it, then when I turn it down or off the boiler keeps running and I have to turn it off manually. The other problem I have and more important is I have set the timer but the heating never comes on, which isn't great on cold mornings. Any help would be much appreciated as its driving me crazy.

• When did the issue start? 

• What other strange symptoms have you experienced since the trouble started?

• Is there a wiring report or error message on your thermostat and/or app?

• What is the type of boiler you have?
