Bad Thermostat Ring Touch Pad???

Hi,

My thermostat has recently started playing the "confirm menu item" sound on it's own. Randomly and repeatedly. I'm not sure that to call the sound, except that it's the sound you hear when you select a menu item with the outer ring.

It is now doing this all day and night. I can't find any help topics on this.

I have restarted the thermostat with no changes. To be clear, all functions of the thermostat seem to be working properly except for the one issue.

thank you

HI David, I have the "Nest Thermostat", not learning. Not listed as 1st or 3rd gen.

thanks,

Try these steps:

  1. Pull your thermostat off its base.
  2. Remove both AAA batteries and leave the thermostat for a couple of minutes.
  3. Replace the batteries and press your thermostat onto the base until it clicks into place.

I'd also make sure all the thermostat wires are fully inserted and not causing any kind of obstruction.
