Hello!

Trying to install my 4th Gen Nest using the Google Home app…

on my old thermostat I see:

Aux, Aux C, Data 1 (black wire), Data 2 (brown/burgundy wire),  C (blue wire), and R (red wire)

I also see a pink, a green, and a white wire which are all rolled and tucked around the afore mentioned wires.

Neither Aux nor Aux C had wires connected.
The app says that the Nest 4th gen needs a Y wire in order to connect. Am I SOL without a professional? Or

Hello @Sativakeef

Thank you for posting here in the community forum. I understand you are wondering if your current wiring system is compatible with the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen), especially since the Google Home app is requesting an additional Y wire during the installation process. I'm happy to help you with this.

To provide you with the most accurate information, could you please share a picture of your previous thermostat's wiring configuration?

If you have any additional details that might be relevant, please don't hesitate to share them.

Regards,

Daniel

Thank you for the response, Daniel.
This is my current wiring configuration. Note: the red wire was previously connected to the C port prior to my troubleshooting.
Thanks again!
