Best learning thermostat faulty base

I have a faulty thermostat base that claims there is no power to RC( E73 error), however, HVAC technician confirmed that there is power to the RC wire and likely there is something wrong with the base. They tried to rewire and made thermostat and furnace work by inserting red wire to RH, at which furnace works but won’t shut off. After spending 3 hours and making the verdict that the base is faulty, they install an old analog thermostat that works and operates my HVAC equipment without any issues. The claim is that the base has not any provision or breakers, therefore any jump in the current may kill it. I am trying to source replacement parts and unable to find anything on Google website. Does anyone know where to find it? The thermostat was purchased several years ago brand new from Home Depo. If I am not going to find a base for a decent price it will likely end up going to the garbage…

Hi Maxnik,

Thanks for reaching out in the Google Nest Community forum. I appreciate all the troubleshooting steps you've already performed. I suggest checking the available base part in Google Nest third party retailer or getting in touch with Google Store to check for offers and discounts.

Best,

Jenelyn
