My Nest Thermostat was purchased 2 years ago. It worked perfect in the first one year (no C wire connected). However, one year later the original bettary replaced, then the bettary lift drained incredible fast, low bettary warning after a few weeks and has to be replace in a couple months.
After I connected the C wire to my HVAC system, it helped a little. a replacement may last for 2 months before it warning again. I wonder if this is normal for this product, or something wrong inside.
Thanks

Hi Heartless8,
Uh-oh! The behavior you described with your Nest Thermostat's battery draining quickly even after connecting a C wire is not typical and may indicate an issue with the thermostat or its configuration.
The Nest Thermostat and HVAC system should be connected securely with a C wire, as poor or intermittent connections can cause rapid battery drain. The thermostat should have the latest firmware installed to address known issues and improve performance, including battery management. Firmware updates can be found through your phone's app store. If the battery drain issue persists, reset the thermostat to its factory default settings and reconfigureit from scratch to help eliminate potential software glitches or incorrect settings.
Let us know how that works.
Best,
Zoe
