Can an old 2-wire Honeywell T86A 1000 1 A home thermostat for heating only be replaced with Google nest thermostat?

That would be determined by your HVAC system. Since the T86A is a two wire heating system thermostat, if you have it connected to a forced air furnace, you are likely to be ok, if it is wired directly to the gas valve, it will not be compatible.
