Can’t Invite My Husband

We installed the nest today. My husband added the Google home app to his phone first, then had me add it and take over the set-up process. When I try to invite him, I get the error message that I can’t invite him right now and to try again later. Also, there is no option on his app to request an invite. He does not have a Gmail account.

Your husband will need a Google (Gmail) account in order to join the home. I'll include the steps below.

The problem is still there, regardless of you having a gmail account or not. We have a joint account g mail address but we can’t seem to invite either of our g suite email addresses (gmail). This problem has been around for well over a year now and needs a fix promptly. It’s an unacceptable oversight and I would urge everyone to stay clear of nest or google home products until it’s sorted.
