Cannot turn off heat pump use.

• The nest thermostat will not allow me to turn off heat pump & automatically uses it when I do not want to use the heat pump ever.
• My electric furnace is newer and much more efficient than my old heat pump but I cannot set the nest to where it doesn't use it.
• I've set the temperature range to highest setting but once outside temp reaches those parameters it uses heat pump.
• Whoever thought that it was a good idea for the thermostat not to allow the user to set parameters and force which mode to use, was an idiot.
• I have hear pump setup for if my main furnace fails but this pos forces me to use it when it decides.
• Nest is garbage. I am removing heat pump wire and getting a new real thermostat and throwing this thing in trash.
