Your thermostat is compatible with Nest. So for Nest learning thermostat, your wiring should be Rh, Y1, C, W1, G, for Google Nest Thermostat, it should be the same wiring setup you have with your Honeywell.

The wiring is correct, however, what do you mean by--the Nest doesn't work? Like no display? Is there an error message? what do you see on the thermostat display?

Hi there,
@eveluna, thank you for your help.
@tjerwin, I saw your post and wanted to chime in. Were you able to complete the set up for your Nest Learning Thermostat? Also, can you please provide the information asked by @eveluna above as this would help us move forward.
I’m looking forward to your response.
Regards,
Jenelyn

Yes. I was able to complete the installation. I was able to connect with Google Nest support. We found that I had a previous installation of the original Nest still installed on my Nest account. Once removed it allowed me to program my new 3rd generation Nest. After physically installing the Nest for the 3rd time everything started working. I paid special attention to the wire strip length. Making sure enough exposed wire got into the connector base. That seemed to do the trick. We’re good now. Hope this helps someone else!

Hey tjerwin,
When you add a new thermostat, it will attempt to connect with the one that is currently inactive in your account. Due to the joining device's inability to connect to the unoccupied thermostat, the problem arises as a result. But I'm glad to know that it was sorted out. Great job, tjerwin! So I'll be locking this thread in 24 hours unless I can help you with anything else.
Best,
Jenelyn
