Compatible with zonefirst zone board

I have a Zonefirst -2 zone board with two zones being used, one zone is the first floor and second zone is second floor.  When I hook it all up I get an error code on the second floor nest stat that says R is not connected. I do have are connected and have verified such. If I take the thermostat from the second floor that is getting the error message and attach it to the base plate on the first floor it works and functions properly. Then if I take the first floor thermostat that had been functioning properly and plug it to the base plate on the second floor I get the same error message  about R not being connected

Sorry for the issues you're having with the R wire errors. I know it can be frustrating to have things not working correctly. Also, thanks for sharing the troubleshooting you've done so far. Based on what you're telling us, it sounds like the issue is with the actual R wire on the second floor and not with the thermostat itself. Are you seeing any error codes that go along with the notification that the R wire isn't connected? Have you been able to confirm that the R wire on the second floor is getting a proper connection to the thermostat? Check the wire terminal on the R wire to make sure it's making good contact, and if needed, go ahead and strip the wire to make a clean connection and try again.

And just for my information, which model of thermostat are you using? Is this a Nest Thermostat? If so, which model?
